A driver’s licence is a must-have when it comes to operating a vehicle on Ontario’s roads. It takes about 20 months to become a licenced driver. So, if you’re ready to give a road test, here’s all you need to keep in mind: Know Your Tests Before you delve any deeper, know the tests you’ll be required to take before becoming a licenced driver. First, you have to pass a vision and a knowledge  test to get your G1 licence, which you can use to practice driving for a year. Types of Driver’s Licence in Ontario

  Did you know Ontario  has 12 classes of driver’s licences? That makes sense, though, because not all vehicles are created equal. So, which one do you have or need? Find out here: Types of Driving Licences in Ontario Class G This licence is the most important one which is used for every vehicle except motorcycles. You can use it to drive any car, small van, or truck (and even tow them as long as the weight is less than 11,000 kg.). However, applying for this license means going through a long licensing process that spans around 20 months. Here are two licences you’ll get before you become a full G driver: Class G1 With this licence, you can only drive G-class vehicles with an accompanied driver, and highways  are out of the question.
